Dhaka, Jan. 12 -- Police have arrested two Ansar members over allegations of sexually assaulting a housewife at Manikganj Sadar Hospital.

Authorities confirmed that following the arrests, both personnel have been dismissed from the Ansar for their alleged actions.

Manikganj District Police Superintendent Mohammad Sarwar Alam said the suspects are in custody, while the victim was admitted to the hospital for medical examination.

The suspects have been identified as Shahadat Hossain and Abu Sayeed.

The victim's husband said they were travelling from Narayanganj to a relative's house in Manikganj on Sunday, when the incident took place.
