Dhaka, Nov. 22 -- Another two patients have died of dengue fever while undergoing treatment at Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital in Barishal.

Shyamal Krishna Mondal, director of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) Barishal office, said on Saturday that 28 people have died this year while receiving treatment at the hospital in Barishal.

The dead are 1 and a half-year-old Md Sabid, who died Friday night, and 50-year-old Abu Bakkar, who died Thursday after being admitted on Nov 17.

According to the Barisal divisional health office, 47 people have died from the fever in the division's six districts this year.

Of them, 15 died in Barguna, three in Patuakhali, and one in Bhola.
