Dhaka, May 14 -- British MP Tulip Siddiq, niece of deposed prime minister Sheikh Hasina, has lost the opportunity to defend herself by not responding to a summons by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), the agency's Chairman Md Abdul Momen has said.
Tulip was asked to appear at the ACC Headquarters at 10am on Wednesday in a case over accepting a flat in Gulshan as a "bribe" from Eastern Housing Limited.
The notice was sent to her Dhanmondi and Gulshan 2 addresses on Tuesday, according to the anti-graft agency.
