Dhaka, Oct. 23 -- The International Crimes Tribunal will set a date for the verdict in a crimes against humanity case against ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina and other top officials of her government for their alleged role in suppressing the July Uprising on Nov 13.

The announcement came from the chairman of the International Crimes Tribunal-1, Justice Md Golam Mortuza Mozumder, after Attorney General Asaduzzaman's closing arguments on Thursday.

Prosecutors of the tribunal and the defendants' state-appointed lawyer, Amir Hossain, were present during the hearing.

Amir had concluded his arguments a day earlier, on Wednesday.
