Dhaka, Feb. 3 -- Train services in Dhaka have resumed after a six-hour disruption caused by students of Government Titumir College, who had blocked the railway track in Mohakhali.

The students had been protesting for the college to be upgraded to an independent university.

Kamalapur Railway Station Manager Md Shahadat Hossain told bdnews24.com at 9:50pm on Monday, "We started running trains after students withdrew the blockade at night.

"The first train to depart is the Upakul Express, which was stuck at Tejgaon Railway Station. From Kamalapur, the first departure will be the Rajshahi-bound Silk City Express.

"We have given the signal, and it may take around 10 minutes for the train to leave."
