Dhaka, May 9 -- Police have filed a remand petition for University of Scholars student Faria Haque Tina in the murder case of Primeasia University student Zahidul Islam Parvez.

Case investigation officer Inspector AKM Moinuddin of Banani Police Station has petitioned for a five-day remand to question Tina.

The petition said that Zahidul Islam Parvez was killed by stabbing with "instigation and support" from Faria Haque Tina and her friend Fatema Tahsin Oishee.

The remand petition will be heard at the Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court on Friday afternoon, said Sub Inspector Moktar Hossain of the court's prosecution department.
