Dhaka, Feb. 3 -- At least three people have suffered injuries following a clash among supporters of rival candidates in the Dhaka-12 constituency.
The wounded, who are currently receiving treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), allege they were the targets of a coordinated attack.
The incident occurred at Moghbazar's Mirerbagh on Monday evening.
All three casualties were subsequently taken to DMCH for emergency care.
The wounded are supporters of Revolutionary Workers Party head Saiful Haque, who is contesting in the election under the "Spade" symbol.
They have accused supporters of Saiful Alam Nirob, an expelled BNP leader running as an independent candidate under the "Football" symbol, of instigating the violence.
