Dhaka, Jan. 10 -- Three members of a Chittagong family from Fatikchhari have been killed in a road accident while travelling in Oman.

The dead are identified as Sakibul Hasan Sabuj, his mother Bilkis Akter, and his brother-in-law Didarul Alam, residents of Sundarpur Union's Silonia.

The accident occurred late Friday night, Bangladesh time, in Salalah, according to relatives of the victims.

Sabuj's uncle, Jane Alam, told bdnews24.com that the family had travelled to Salalah on Wednesday to visit a shrine. On Friday, while returning by car, the vehicle collided with a camel and overturned.
