Dhaka, June 7 -- Thousands of Muslim devotees have taken part in the first Eid-ul-Azha prayer congregation at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque.
The congregation began at 7am on Saturday, led by Tamirul Millat Kamil Madrasah Principal Khalilur Rahman Madani.
Devotees began flocking to the mosque from different parts of Dhaka early in the morning. By 6:45am, the mosque was filled to the brim.
After the Eid prayers, devotees raised their hands to pray to Allah for the welfare of the country and the nation.
Devotees then exchanged traditional embraces and Eid greetings.
As every year, five Eid-ul-Azha congregations are set to be held at the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque this year.
