Dhaka, Dec. 9 -- Telangana has proposed renaming a key road in Hyderabad after US President Donald Trump, a move positioned as part of the state's push for global visibility ahead of an investment summit.

The road running beside the US Consulate General is set to be designated "Donald Trump Avenue", which officials believe would mark the first time a sitting US president is honoured with such a naming outside the United States, as per the NDTV.

The Indian news outlet said the initiative forms part of a wider naming drive designed to spotlight Hyderabad's emergence as a technology hub.
