Dhaka, Oct. 13 -- The BCS General Education Association has called for a sit-in at all government colleges across Bangladesh to protest an alleged attack on Dhaka College teachers.

In a statement issued on Monday, the association announced that teachers would refrain from entering classrooms and instead stage a sit-in at their institutions on Tuesday.

According to the statement, miscreants attacked teachers, officials, and students of Dhaka College on Monday and vandalised the teachers' lounge.

In protest, the association urged all government colleges, madrasas, and related offices to observe a work stoppage and wear black badges during the sit-in.
