Dhaka, Feb. 17 -- Tarique Rahman has paid a courtesy call on Islami Andolan chief Syed Muhammad Rezaul Karim, widely known as Charmonai Pir, following the national election.

He reached Rezaul's Siddheswari residence around 7:15pm on Monday, accompanied by BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and Standing Committee member Nazrul Islam Khan. They were received by Rezaul and Islami Andolan Secretary General Yunus Ahmad.

"They held discussions in a very cordial atmosphere regarding the post-election situation, political coexistence, and the future of politics," an Islami Andolan leader told bdnews24.com.
