Dhaka, Dec. 31 -- Tarique Rahman, BNP's acting chief running for parliament from the Bogura-6 (Sadar), has filed an affidavit declaring assets worth approximately Tk 19.7 million.

Returning to Bangladesh on Thursday after more than 17 years in the UK, the 57-year-old leader also disclosed that he has faced 77 legal cases to date -- all of which he has been fully cleared of.

According to his income tax filings for the 2024-2025 fiscal year, Tarique Rahman earned Tk 676,353. In addition to Bogura, he has submitted nomination papers for Dhaka-17 (Gulshan-Banani).
