Dhaka, Jan. 7 -- Tarique Rahman will visit Rangpur on Jan 12, where he is scheduled to pay respects at the grave of Abu Sayed, the first martyr of the July Uprising.
Around 2pm, the BNP's acting chairman will visit the grave at Babanpur Jafarpara in Pirgonj Upazila before travelling by road to Dinajpur.
Retired captain Gani Ul Azam, the coordinator for the tour, confirmed the itinerary.
Outlining the four-day programme, he said Tarique will start his journey from Dhaka on Jan 11, travelling by road through Tangail and Sirajganj, and will stay overnight in Bogura.
On Jan 12, he will leave Bogura for Rangpur via Pirgonj, then proceed to Dinajpur. From there, he will travel to Thakurgaon and stay the night.
