Dhaka, Jan. 29 -- Tarique Rahman has arrived at the Madrasa Ground in Rajshahi for a mass campaign rally.

Applause from BNP leaders, activists, and supporters thundered out as the party's chief took the stage at 2pm. Tarique waved back in greeting.

As part of the party's nationwide election campaign, the BNP chairman reached Rajshahi by plane at noon. Upon reaching Rajshahi, he visited the shrine of Hazrat Shah Makhdum.

The rally officially began at 11:30am with the recitation of the Quran. By 12:30pm, the Madrasa Ground was filled to the brim. Leaders, activists, and supporters from different wards of the surrounding metropolis marched to the rally as part of processions.
