Dhaka, April 28 -- Taijul Islam (5-60) has spun up a superb five-wicket haul to spark a Zimbabwe batting collapse after the visitors started well in the final session of the opening of the Chattogram Test.

It was Taijul's 16th five-wicket haul in Tests as he helped Bangladesh cleave the Zimbabwe batting from 200-4 to 228-9 at stumps at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium on Monday.

Sean Williams top-scored for Zimbabwe with 67, while Nick Welch gathered 54 before cramps forced him off the field shortly after tea. But Welch later fell as Taijul's fifth scalp.

Nayeem Hasan picked up two wickets, and debutant Tanzim Hasan took one in the first session.
