Dhaka, Nov. 18 -- A suspect has confessed to killing Pallabi Thana Jatiyatabadi Jubo Dal member secretary Golam Kibria in a shop in Dhaka's Mirpur.

Immediately after the incident, police took the 25-year-old suspect Jony Bhuiyan into custody. He has been charged with firing the fatal shots in the case.

On Tuesday, the case's investigation officer, Inspector Mohammad Hanif of Pallabi Police Station, presented the suspect in court.

As he had voluntarily agreed to give a confessional statement, Hanif requested that it be recorded.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Arifur Rahman subsequently recorded Jony's statement.

Then, Sub-Inspector (SI) Saiful Islam informed that the suspect would be sent to jail.
