Dhaka, Jan. 22 -- The authorities have restricted the entry of unauthorised individuals into the Supreme Court premises as part of measures to ensure overall security, allowing access only to lawyers, their assistants and those involved in relevant cases.
The decision was announced in a notification issued by the Supreme Court on Wednesday.
It was issued by the registrar general of the Supreme Court following an order from the chief justice of Bangladesh.
The notice said the Bangladesh Supreme Court is the highest judicial institution in the country and is considered a key structure. The chief justice and judges of both divisions of the Supreme Court conduct judicial proceedings in courtrooms located in different buildings.
