Bangladesh, Aug. 4 -- Transport workers in Sunamganj have called off a work stoppage that was enforced after a clash with students over bus fare.
The strike was withdrawn at 12pm on Monday after a meeting between transport owners, workers, and the district administration.
Disgruntled transporters had been on strike from 6:00pm on Sunday following a scuffle with students from Sunamganj Science and Technology University (SUST).
Buses and other vehicles are now back in service after an 18-hour disruption that caused commuters untold suffering.
