Dhaka, Jan. 14 -- Students from seven government colleges have announced a blockade at three key locations in Dhaka on Wednesday, pressing a single-point demand for the immediate issuance of a final ordinance to establish the proposed Dhaka Central University.

The blockade is scheduled to begin at 11am at the Science Laboratory, Technical, and Tantibazar intersections, according to the protesters.

In a media statement issued on Tuesday, Nayem Howlader, a representative for the movement to transform the seven government colleges into a university, outlined the group's demands.
