Dhaka, March 8 -- The Bangladesh Nari Mukti Kendra has called on four female advisors to resign if they are unable to take effective action against the growing cases of repression of women across Bangladesh.
At a women's rally outside the National Press Club on Saturday, the organisation's President Seema Datta said: "If you truly want to work for women and cannot do anything while in power, then take to the streets.
"Resign from your positions and admit that you have failed. At least then, we can say that you were unable to succeed within the existing system," she added.
Seema criticised Home Advisor Jahangir Alam Chowdhury for his inaction.
