Dhaka, June 4 -- The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has unveiled a 16-member squad for the upcoming two-match Test series against Sri Lanka, which will mark Bangladesh's entry into the 2025-2027 ICC World Test Championship (WTC) cycle.

Top-order batter Najmul Hossain Shanto will continue as Test captain for another year, having led the side since 2024.

Mehidy Hasan Miraz also retains the vice-captaincy, extending the leadership partnership that steered Bangladesh through the previous season.

The team is set to depart for Sri Lanka on Jun 13.

The first Test will take place in Galle starting Jun 17, while the second will begin in Colombo on Jun 25.
