Dhaka, June 18 -- Despite losing Captain Najmul Hossain Shanto, Bangladesh have continued to add to their promising total in the first session of Day 2 of the Test in Galle.
Shanto (148) - who played a mature captain's knock - chipped a delivery from Asitha Fernando to mid-off where a good catch from Angelo Mathews closed out his innings.
But his partner, veteran Mushfiqur Rahim (141*), battled on alongside new batsman Litton Das (43*) to take the Tigers to 383/4 at lunch on Wednesday.
Bangladesh are hoping to build on the titanic 264-run partnership by Mushfiqur and Shanto to post a massive total against the Sri Lankan attack.
