Dhaka, Jan. 1 -- Prof Sayedur Rahman is set to return to his post as special assistant to the chief advisor tasked with overseeing the health ministry, just two days after he stepped down from the post following his retirement from government service.
A gazette notification issued by the Cabinet Division on Thursday said Sayedur had been reassigned to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, with the rank of a state minister. He had resigned from the position on Tuesday.
The notification did not give a reason for the move. However, an official at the Chief Advisor's Office told bdnews24.com the resignation and reappointment were required to comply with administrative procedures.
