Dhaka, Jan. 19 -- Independent candidate Rumeen Farhana has been served a show-cause notice for allegedly breaching the electoral code of conduct in the Brahmanbaria-2 constituency, with instructions to appear in person before the district administration to explain her actions.

An order has been issued through a notice on Sunday, accusing her of breaching rules by addressing a rally of around 400-500 people after setting up a large stage.

It alleges that she behaved in an arrogant and discourteous manner when an executive magistrate asked for the rally to be stopped, also issuing threats.
