Bangladesh, Sept. 5 -- Two of the country's three private mobile network operators have raised concerns over the recently approved Telecommunication Network and Licencing Policy 2025, claiming it was finalised without taking into account the proposals made during their discussions with the government.
Their key objection is regarding the requirement to give up 15 percent of company ownership. They have warned this move could discourage foreign investors.
After the approval of the policy, two operators have voiced both their concerns and disappointment over the mandate to have a maximum of 85 percent foreign ownership in the company.
