Dhaka, Dec. 11 -- Students of Dhaka's Tejgaon College have blocked the road in Farmgate over the alleged murder of Sakib, one of their classmates.

The protest began around 10:30am, bringing traffic to a halt on nearby roads.

Kya Shan U Balpan, officer-in-charge of Tejgaon Police Station, is trying to convince the protesters to clear the road.

Shihab Hossain, a higher secondary student at Tejgaon College, said another group of students had attacked the college's students two days ago, injuring three to four of them.

"Among them, a person named Sakib died while undergoing treatment."
