Dhaka, May 30 -- Heavy rainfall may cause river levels to keep rising across Bangladesh for three more days, according to the Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC).
The swelling waters have raised the risk of flooding in six districts.
In its regular bulletin on Friday, the centre warned that low-lying areas along the Muhuri River in Feni may face flooding within the next 24 hours.
Over the next three days, the lowlands of Sylhet, Sunamganj, Moulvibazar, Habiganj, and Netrokona may also be inundated.
In the next 24 hours, rivers in the Chattogram Division, including Gomti, Muhuri, Feni, Halda, Sangu, and Matamuhuri, are expected to rise.
