Dhaka, Oct. 28 -- UK MP Nigel Farage has compared a group of masked Muslim demonstrators in east London with a "foreign invading army", reports the Daily Mail.

The Reform UK leader criticised footage showing men dressed in black with balaclavas or face coverings, walking through the borough of Tower Hamlets while chanting in Arabic and carrying Bangladesh and Palestine flags.

According to the Daily Mail, the gathering took place after police blocked a planned march by the far-right UK Independence Party (UKIP) that had pledged to "reclaim" the area.

Farage described Saturday's scenes as "one of the most terrifying things I've ever seen in my life".
