Dhaka, Nov. 17 -- Miscreants who killed Jubo Dal leader Golam Kibria in Dhaka's Pallabi and fled in a battery-powered rickshaw also shot the driver for "not going fast enough".
The 20-year-old driver named Md Arif was admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital around 9pm on Monday.
A passerby named Piarul Islam took Arif to the hospital. He told journalists that when Kibria was shot, Arif was waiting for a passenger on the road between C Block and A Block of Mirpur No. 11.
"Then two men wearing helmets came running, got into his rickshaw, and told him to drive away quickly as they threatened to shoot him dead otherwise.
"As soon as he started the rickshaw, one of them shot Arif in the back and fled the scene."
