Dhaka, Nov. 20 -- Revenue collection has increased in the first four months of the 2025-26 fiscal year, registering a 15.54 percent rise compared with the same period last year.
Provisional figures released by the National Board of Revenue (NBR) on Thursday show collections of Tk 1.19 trillion between July and October of the current fiscal year.
During the same period in the previous financial year, the country was gripped by political unrest.
Amid the July Uprising and the change of power, violence and uncertainty left the economy virtually paralysed, which was reflected in the revenue collection for the first four months of the 2024-25 financial year, amounting to Tk 1.03 trillion.
