Dhaka, March 17 -- Chief Advisor Muhammad Yunus says the police force are on the "frontlines" and that he will not succeed in rebuilding the country without them by his side.
Amid the deteriorating law and order situation in the country, Yunus addressed field-level police personnel on Monday, clarifying that all administrative tasks would only be possible if police "prepare the ground" for it.
He said: "Whatever the government wants to do, however it wants to do it, at the end of the day, it has to be implemented by the police."
"They won't do it for you, they'll just create the environment for it. Without that atmosphere nothing can be done," Yunus said.
"We've repeatedly said two words regarding the police. These are law and order. ...
