Dhaka, Feb. 24 -- The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast rain in parts of the Dhaka, Rangpur, Rajshahi, Khulna and Barishal divisions over the next 24 hours from Tuesday morning.
The BMD said a low-pressure area lies over the southwest and adjoining central Bay of Bengal and is expected to gradually weaken as it moves northeastward.
Meteorologist Shahnaz Sultana told bdnews24.com that the impact of the low pressure is unlikely to be felt in Bangladesh.
However, she said, rain or thundershowers may occur in a couple of places in the five divisions.
She added that temperatures are being felt slightly higher at the beginning of spring due to the influence of a western low-pressure system.
