Dhaka, Dec. 20 -- The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has claimed a floor manager handed Dipu Chandra Das over to an enraged crowd after forcing him to resign from his job.
Dipu, 28, who worked at a Bhaluka-based readymade garment factory named Pioneer Knitwears BD Ltd, was beaten to death by a mob on Thursday in Mymensingh. His body, hung from a tree branch, was also set on fire later.
On Saturday, the RAB held a press conference to announce the arrest of 10 people in connection with Dipu's murder.
RAB-14 Director Naimul Hassan said the floor manager Alamgir Hossain, 38, has been arrested, alongside Miraz Hossain Akon, 46, a quality manager of the same factory.
The murder of Dipu occurred in Bhaluka's Jamirdiya.
