Bangladesh, Aug. 5 -- A pure drinking water corner has been opened at Gazipur's Joydebpur Railway Junction in memory of Mir Mahfuzur Rahman Mugdho, a student martyred in the July Uprising.

Joydebpur Deputy Commissioner Nafisa Arefin inaugurated the "Mugdho Pure Drinking Water Corner" for general passengers on Tuesday.

The deputy commissioner said, "The Mugdho corner has been set up for the convenience of the working class in Gazipur. This will keep Mugdho's memory burning forever."

Mugdho died by gunfire during a clash between the students and police at Uttara's Azampur on Jul 18, amid the Students Against Discrimination protests. He was a student of Bangladesh University of Professionals.
