Dhaka, June 23 -- The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has restricted public entry within 200 yards of Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examination centres this year.
In a public notice issued on Monday and signed by DMP Commissioner Sheikh Md Sajjat Ali, police said the move is intended to ensure that the exams are conducted "fairly and peacefully".
The restriction, enforced under Sections 28 and 29 of the DMP Ordinance, prohibits unauthorised access to the designated zones. Only examinees and individuals officially involved with the exams will be allowed to enter these areas.
The order will remain in force during each exam, covering the full duration of the tests.
