Dhaka, May 29 -- Protesting officers of the Secretariat demanding the scrapping of the Public Service (Amendment) Ordinance have called on the government to find a solution before the approaching Eid-ul-Azha.
Badiul Kabir, co-chairman of the Secretariat Officers and Employees Unity Forum, made the call on Thursday.
He said, "The organisational activities will continue until the Public Service Amendment Ordinance is withdrawn. If the demands are met, the employees will perform their duties in the proper environment."
Badiul Kabir said, "The matter is pending as the chief advisor is outside the country. That is why I refrained from the program for a day.
