Dhaka, Dec. 2 -- Hackers briefly took control of President Mohammed Shahabuddin's verified Facebook account, which has now been restored.
A post issued from the account first disclosed the breach on Tuesday, warning users that the page had been compromised.
Bangabhaban later confirmed the incident, adding that the account had been restored.
Sagar Hossain, assistant private secretary to the president, told bdnews24.com that the verified page had been hacked only for a short period.
"The president's verified Facebook page was hacked. We urge everyone not to be misled," he said.
