Dhaka, Nov. 28 -- Chief Advisor Muhammad Yunus is concerned about BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia's health, who is receiving hospital treatment, and has urged the nation to pray for her speedy recovery.

The chief advisor's press wing said on Friday that the interim head is regularly monitoring the progress of the former prime minister's health.

He has instructed everyone involved to ensure full medical support is available, it added.

He said, "[Khaleda] is a great inspiration during this period of democratic transition, and her good health is crucial."

BNP leader Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir described her condition as "extremely critical" on Friday.
