Dhaka, Feb. 18 -- Finance Minister Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury has called for economic policies that align with the transformed public mindset following the July Uprising.

On Wednesday, he stressed the need to build an economy that allows participation from all segments of society.

"The country's economy must have a level playing field, and every citizen must be given the opportunity to participate so that the benefits of economic growth reach them," Khosru said.

Referring to the political turning point, he said: "There has been a profound change in the public mindset since Aug 5. We must adopt economic activities that are aligned with this change.
