Dhaka, Nov. 14 -- Police have arrested three people on charges of raping a 14-year-old in Mymensingh's Muktagacha.

Muktagacha Police Chief Ripon Chandra Gope said the victim was taken to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital for medical examination on Thursday.

The suspects were arrested after the victim's mother started a case on Wednesday night, a day after the incident had occurred, according to police.

The arrestees -- Pankaj Dey, 19, Roman, 23, identified by a single name, and Emran Hossain, 32 -- have been sent to jail pending trial on Thursday afternoon.
