Dhaka, Feb. 19 -- Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has worked from the Secretariat for a second consecutive day, travelling from his residence on Gulshan Avenue to his office.

Additional Press Secretary Atikur Rahman Rumon said the premier left home at 8:34am in his own vehicle.

The commute took 41 minutes, with the car stopping at four red lights along the way, before reaching the Secretariat after 9am, he added.

On arrival at his office in Building No. 1, Tarique was received by Cabinet Secretary Nasimul Ghani and Principal Secretary ABM Abdus Sattar.

Rumon said people at the signals applauded as the car paused at red lights, and the prime minister waved in reply.
