Dhaka, Feb. 19 -- Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has met with the three service chiefs -- Army Chief Gen Waker-Uz-Zaman, Navy Chief Admiral Mohammad Nazmul Hassan, and Chief of Air Force Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan.

The meeting took place on Thursday at the Secretariat, Prime Minister's Additional Press Secretary Atikur Rahman Rumon said.

"The prime minister is working at the Secretariat for the second consecutive day. According to the day's schedule, he met chiefs of three armed services this morning," Rumon added.

This is the first formal meeting with the top military leaders since Tarique assumed office.
