Dhaka, Nov. 23 -- A Dhaka court has set the date of the verdicts in three cases filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) against deposed prime minister Sheikh Hasina, her son Sajeeb Wazed Joy, and daughter Saima Wazed Putul on charges of graft involving 30 katha of land in the Purbachal New Town Project for Thursday.
The court of Dhaka Special Judge Mohammad Abdullah Al Mamun scheduled the date after the prosecution and defence concluded their arguments on Sunday.
Suspect Mohammad Khurshid Alam was brought to court from jail for their decision.
Advocate Khan Md Moinul Hasan Lipon represented the ACC at the hearing. He petitioned the court to sentence the suspects in the case to life in prison, the maximum punishment.
