Dhaka, Dec. 14 -- A drone strike on a UN peacekeeping base in Sudan on Saturday claimed the life of Md Shobuj Mia, a Bangladeshi peacekeeper. His wife spoke with him briefly that afternoon, unaware she would receive the devastating news only hours later.

The news cast a shadow of grief over his village, Choto Bhagabanpur in Mahdipur Union, where relatives and neighbours mourned his death on Sunday.
