Dhaka, Dec. 16 -- Tensions have flared at Jagannath University (JnU) after a group of students attempted to draw the Pakistani flag on a campus road on Victory Day, describing it as a "symbol of hatred".

The move was met with resistance from the university proctor and another group of students, leading to verbal altercations, the removal of the drawing, and allegations of harassment of a journalist covering the incident live.

According to witnesses, shortly after midnight on Monday, students began drawing the Pakistani flag on the road near the university's main gate.
