Dhaka, Dec. 18 -- Inqilab Moncho Convenor Sharif Osman bin Hadi, who was shot in the head in Dhaka, has died while receiving advanced treatment in Singapore, the platform says.

The platform's Dhaka University chapter Convenor Saeed Hasan told bdnews24.com on Thursday night: "Hadi is no more."

On a Facebook post, Inqilab Moncho wrote: "Allah has accepted Osman Hadi as a martyr in his fight against India's dominance."

Cultural Affairs Advisor Mostofa Sarwar Farooki wrote: "Our brother Hadi has started his journey towards infinity. He will remain etched in Bengal despite his absence, like [Abrar Fahad] and Abu Sayed."
