Dhaka, Aug. 1 -- Law Minister Anisul Huq says the executive order banning Jamaat-e-Islami, which already lost its registration as a political party for committing war crimes, will be announced shortly after the legal process is complete.

The minister made the remark to the media in front of his office at the Secretariat on Thursday.

He previously said on Wednesday that Jamaat will be banned from politics by an executive order due to its 'involvement' in the recent violence surrounding the quota reform protests. However, the step took one more day due to the legal process, he said.
