Bangladesh, July 31 -- A man has been killed and another injured when the tyre of a boarding bridge wheel exploded at Sylhet MAG Osmani International Airport
The incident occurred during a routine maintenance check on Thursday.
The dead has been identified with the single name Rumman. The 28-year-old was a worker at the airport.
The injured is his fellow airport worker -- Enamul Hoque, 24.
According to Hafiz Ahmed, director of the airport, Rumman was taken to Ragib Rabeya Medical College Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead.
Airport authorities explained that during the final stages of their maintenance work, the workers were removing old tyres from the boarding bridge.
