Dhaka, June 21 -- Another person has died of dengue while 352 new patients have been hospitalised with the Aedes mosquito-borne disease across Bangladesh over the past 24 hours.
The total number of dengue patients admitted this year has now risen to 7,429.
The death toll from the illness now stands at 31.
The Directorate General of Health Services, or DGHS, said as many as 62 new patients were hospitalised in the Dhaka metropolitan area until Monday.
In addition, 15 were hospitalised in the Dhaka Division, 76 in the Chattogram Division, eight in Khulna Division, 24 in the Rajshahi Division, and 167 in the Barishal Division.
As many as 882 patients are currently undergoing treatment for dengue in hospitals across the country.
